Route calls to a recording or text-to-speech message

Please note: This feature does not replace the call recording preamble. If you activate call recording, the call recording preamble will be included as required by privacy law.

The Advanced Call Flow builder allows you to route calls to a recording or message in either an MP3 or text-to-speech (TTS) as part of your call flow. The recording will play in full to the caller before routing to the next action in the call flow.

Use cases

This routing feature is useful in, but not limited to, the following scenarios:

  • You would like to play a business introduction on your call before it connects, but don't have call recording activated.
  • You would like to play a recording to advertise an upcoming promotion for your business.
  • You would like to play an out-of-hours message without leaving the option for customers to leave a voicemail.

The below example will play a text-to-speech message before the call is connected to the answer point.
