How to view calls in Google Analytics

Please note: Events may take up to 24 hours to populate in Google Analytics reports. If you haven't already, please make sure you've integrated your numbers to Google Analytics 4.

WildJar pushes all calls into your Google Analytics account as an Event, which can be applied across a number of reports. You can view phone lead events against dimensions and metrics in event scoped reports, such as Events and Advertising reports; user scoped reports, such as User Acquisition; and any report which can be filtered by event or key event.

User Acquisition

The User Acquisition report allows you to view which channels your callers originally came from.

To view these calls, please follow the below steps:

  1. Log into your Google Analytics account
  2. On the left sidebar, select Reports
  3. Under the Life Cycle section, click Acquisition > User acquisition
  4. In the Event Count column, select phone_lead to filter by WildJar calls:

If you've marked phone_lead events as key events, you can also filter by phone_lead in the Key Events column.

Advertising

The Advertising reports give you insight into user journeys leading to a key event across all channels, including Google Ads. You can also use the Advertising reports to view source/medium and keyword information associated with your calls.

Please note: The advertising reports require events to have been marked as a key event before they can be used to filter these reports.

To view these calls, please follow the below steps:

  1. Log in to your Google Analytics account
  2. On the left sidebar, select Advertising
  3. Under Planning, select All Channels
  4. Click the X/X key events in the report header and select only the key event configured as part of your GA4 integration (by default, "phone_lead") and click Apply
