Integrating calls into Facebook

After you've created a number and configured it for Dynamic Number Insertion, you will need to integrate the calls into Facebook.

Even if you've created a dedicated number for Facebook Ads, we recommend pushing all calls from all tracking numbers to Facebook, as this will allow you to attribute "view-through conversions" to your Facebook Ads campaigns. This means that if they were part of the conversion funnel, for example interacted with an ad on Facebook then went on to convert via a call from Google Ads, your Facebook campaigns will still receive credit.

Please follow the below steps:

  1. Create an offline event set in Facebook. There are instructions here, if required:
    https://en-gb.facebook.com/business/help/339320669734609
  2. Use Zapier to connect WildJar and Facebook:
    • The easiest way to integrate call data into Facebook is to use the below Zap template:
Send Facebook Offline Conversion events for new WildJar calls
    • Alternatively, you can create a Zap manually (🌶️):
      1. In the Zapier Platform, create a new Zap, select WildJar as the trigger app
      2. Select "Phone Call" as the trigger
      3. Log in using your username and password and authorise Zapier to access your WildJar account.
      4. If you wish to filter by an account or tracking number, select the account or tracking number(s) that you wish to push calls for.
      5. If you already have calls, you can test with some live data. If not, there is some default test data provided by us.
      6. Create a Facebook Offline Conversions action
      7. Select "send offline event"
      8. Log into Facebook with your Facebook Business Manager account
      9. In the template, select your Business Account and Event Set (configured earlier)
      10. Add WildJar data by clicking the add field button in the relevant fields:
        • Event Time -> select the WildJar "Timestamp" field
        • Phone -> select the WildJar "Caller ID" field
      11. In the Event Name field, use "Lead".
      12. Click continue and finish the creation process.

Once complete, you can see the performance of your campaigns directly in your Ads Manager account.
