Smartnumbers® are 13, 1300 or 1800 telephone numbers, such as phonewords like 13 CATS (13 2287) and distinctive patterned numbers such as 1300 222 222. If you have purchased a smartnumber® from ACMA, you can activate it by raising a port request from within the WildJar portal.
To raise the port request, please follow the instructions below:
- Click Numbers in the main menu
- Click Port your existing Tracking Numbers from the bottom of the number list
- Click New Request
- Fill in the required details and select the account the numbers will be placed into. Some special notes apply for smartnumbers®:
- The Losing Carrier Name must be "Smartnumber Activation"
- The Customer Account Number must be the name of the EROU holder. This can be found on your invoice from ACMA or on The Numbering System website by searching for your number.
- The Last Invoice must be the invoice you received after registering the smartnumber®.
- Click Submit
Note: If you are an agency or reseller and are raising a port on your client's behalf, you will need to enter the business name, address, ABN, contact, full name and role title of the authorised party at your client's business.
The port request will then move into pre-approval stage.
If the port request is accepted, you will receive an email asking you to configure the number.
Once configured, you will receive an email confirmation that the port will be automatically submitted for processing.
If the port is rejected, you will receive an email with the reason for rejection - please resolve this an update the port request by going to Numbers > Port your existing Tracking Numbers and clicking on the port request. Once submitted, the request will return to pre-approval stage.
Smartnumber® activation usually takes 1-3 business days from submission.
